Payment Policies

We always strive to give you the best animal experience we can! To help with that on both your end and our own, we have policies and rules for working with us.

Currently we do not require any deposits for booking with us. All payments for private shows are due at the time and place of our program. Payment can be accepted via cash, Venmo, and we are working on accepting card. We do not accept money via Paypal. Checks are fine for schools/libraries/camps.

We can send any paperwork you need ranging from W9s, invoices, or proof of insurance. We do have a general liability insurance policy that we can provide proof of free of charge. If your venue wishes to be listed *on* our insurance policy as additionally insured, that will be an additional $100 fee on top of the program fee. That does not go in our pockets that is simply the fee our provider charges to list anyone additionally insured.

Program Policies

We book programs year round on a first come, first serve basis. Depending on the time of year and day of the week you’re looking for, we can generally assure availability at least two months out from the requested date. For summer camps, libraries, schools, and most clients looking to book from April-September we advise reaching out as soon as you can (as this is our prime busy season).

For cancellations, we do not charge for canceling OR rescheduling a program if you must move the date. Kids get sick, things come up, we understand. We will do our best to fit you into the schedule when we next have an available slot. A rain date may be scheduled in advance for programs outside of our April-September busy season.

For programs, we generally prefer to be indoors as it is more ideal for the safety and comfort for animals and guests alike. If you do wish for us to be outdoors, then the temperature must be within the range of 62-88 degrees outside. If the temperatures are outside of this range and there is no indoor location available for us to switch to, we will have to cancel our attendance.

When outside we must be in full shade- whether under trees, the roof of a pavilion or tent, or if its an overcast day. Conditions must be dry outside. If it rains (depending on the severity and in the case of no indoors space available) we may have to cancel our attendance.

If you have specific concerns over your event or space you’d wish to have us in, reach out with any questions you might have!

Animal Policies

Our top priorities are the safety of the audience AND our animals. You may hear us address noise levels several times over the course of a program. This is not to scold, but simply general reminders for the children to keep the loudness under a certain “operational” level.

We always include time after the show for the audience to interact with the animals, but this is at OUR discretion. If a crowd is particularly rowdy and disrespectful, ignoring the educator’s warnings (whether about volume or behavior), it is well within our rights to refuse any animal interaction. These are live animals, some more susceptible to crowd size and volume level than others, and we are the ones looking out for their safety.

If you have certain animals you really wish to come to your event, we will do our best to include them so long as they are an eligible species for that particular program, and they are not shedding, sick, or otherwise unable to attend.

Conversely, if there are certain animals you wish to definitely NOT attend, such as snakes or spiders, we will make note of it with your booking to not include.
