Meet Our Critters!
Our critters represent their wild counterparts from a variety of different biomes on most of the world’s continents- in animal education facilities you’ll often see education animals referred to as “ambassador animals” for this reason.
Most of our animals are NOT taken from the wild, they were born in the captive pet trade. They usually come to us from several avenues-
- surrendered/abandoned for various reasons
- seized by police in animal hoarding cases
- found in the local area after being illegally released
- bought from captive breeders for our education program
- originally from the wild and nonreleasable either due to prolonged captivity or injury
When you book a program we will do our best to follow any requests for specific animals pending illness, shedding cycles, or other unforeseen circumstances.
